We, the undersigned, representing the elected trade union leaders, the steering committees, and the preparatory committees of recognized professional bodies,
declare the commencement of  a Trade Union Front to stop the war and build democracy.
We have begun working toward the establishment of a broader Civil Front that  include the steering and preparatory committees of recognized professional bodies, resistance committees, civil society organizations, initiatives, official diaspora bodies representing Sudanese abroad, national and academic figures, as well as political parties and alliances that seek to  end the war and build democracy in Sudan.
Objectives of the Trade Union Front:
The Trade Union Front will begin  signatures campaign  among  trade union, professional, civil, and political bodies to agree on a flexible organizational structure that coordinates among these entities, formulates policies, and makes the necessary decisions to achieve the Front’s objectives through peaceful means.
The Front’s work will begin with the signing of recognized trade union and professional bodies, after which membership and coordination will be opened to other civil entities mentioned above. The Front will then remain open to coordination with national political parties and alliances upon agreeing on programs that fulfill its objectives.
